I just love reading books. But, finding good AI-books has been hard. Most are outdated, or directly fly into space with aliens and project what's going to happen in 100 years from now (hint: Life 3.0...).

So, what do you recommend?

Here are some recommended AI books that focus more on current developments and practical implications rather than speculative future scenarios:
  • "The Coming Wave" by Mustafa Suleyman: This book has been highlighted for providing insights into the current wave of AI advancements. It's noted for being an accessible read, focusing on the recent breakthroughs in robotics and large language models, and discussing the forces driving these innovations.
  • "Superintelligence" by Nick Bostrom: While it might delve into some speculative territory, this book is considered important for understanding the potential paths, dangers, and strategies related to superintelligent AI. It's suggested for those interested in a deeper understanding of AI's long-term implications.
  • "The Singularity is Nearer" by Ray Kurzweil: This book is recommended for its vision of AI's future, though it's acknowledged that it might not be for everyone due to its thematic similarity to "Life 3.0". It offers a perspective on how AI might integrate with human consciousness in the near future.
